Agarwood Oil, also known as Oud oil, Aloeswood oil, and many other names depending location, is an extremely rare and precious natural oil obtained from several species of Agarwood (Aquilaria sp.) trees. It originates in Indonesia Papau New Guinea and Kalimantan , North Eastern India, Bhutan and parts of South East Asia - especially Vietnam and Cambodia - and Philippines. Agarwood has a very long history of medicinal use, as a valuable component of incense, and as an aromatic oil.
The fragrance of Agarwood comes from a process where fungi infect the trees, producing an olesresin which saturates the wood.
It is through this oleoresin saturated wood where Oud develops its aroma.
The fragrance is complex, deep and woody, and is highly prized as an incense in Japan and as an oil in the Middle East.
Because of its rarity, Agarwood is not well known in the West, but should be experienced by every connoisseur of essential oils, and anyone serious about aromatherapy and natural perfumery.
There are many grades of Agarwood, and the highest quality wood is extremely expensive. In fact, the first-grade wood is one of the most expensive natural products in the world, with prices of up to $13,000 per pound, and the essential oil from wild agarwood trees is one of the most expensive oils in the world.

Ammonite II
Ammolite is a gemstone create from the shell of a fossilized sea creature that existed over 65 million years ago called an ammonite. It is a very soft gemstone, only 4.5-5 on the Mohs Scale. It is one on only three organic gemstones (Ammolite, Pearl, and Amber).
Over time, ammonite fossils were pushed up to the surface or washed out into rivers. These fossils have fascinated people throughout the ages. There is various lore surrounding ammonite fossils, but all seem to attribute health, prosperity, and good luck to the fossils.
The fossil is named for the Egyptian god Ammon, because their shape resembles his ram horns. Ammonite was prized by the ancient Egyptian and Roman societies and was considered to have magical and holy powers.
Ammonite is known as "snake stones" in Whitby, England, where there was an abundance of these fossils. Local legend attributed these objects to St. Hilda, who supposedly rid the abbey of snakes by casting a spell on them to behead them, causing them to curl up into spirals and turn to stone.
People that believe in the metaphysical aspects of stones ascribe many properties to ammonite. It is considered to be a protective stone that gives stability and structure to a person’s life. It is said to change negativity into smoothly flowing energy. It is also said to assist with childbirth, depression, and general survival instincts.
Eastern cultures consider shells in general to be symbols of good luck & prosperity. They are a symbol of the higher forces of the universe and their shape is said to attract and store wealth. Ammolite is a gemstone create from the shell of a fossilized sea creature that existed over 65 million years ago called an ammonite. It is a very soft gemstone, only 4.5-5 on the Mohs Scale. It is one on only three organic gemstones (Ammolite, Pearl, and Amber).
Over time, ammonite fossils were pushed up to the surface or washed out into rivers. These fossils have fascinated people throughout the ages. There is various lore surrounding ammonite fossils, but all seem to attribute health, prosperity, and good luck to the fossils.

Petrified wood literally means wood turned into stone. The word petrify comes from the Greek word “petro” or "rock" - Petrify means “to change organic matter into a stony concretion by encrusting or replacing its original substance with a calcareous, siliceous, or other mineral deposits.” The way wood becomes petrified is a very interesting process.
Petrified forests found today were live forests around 65 million years ago.
The process of petrifaction
The first step for wood to become petrified is that trees end up being buried by sand or volcanic ash or some other substance and therefore take a long time to rot. They are also submerged in water. Most logs subjected to these conditions would simply decompose before the petrification process began, but for some reason they don’t in certain areas.
While they are buried, water with a lot of dissolved minerals enters into the wood and deposits minerals inside the tree’s cells, taking on the exact shape of the cell. Over time, all of the cells become filled with minerals while the organic matter decomposes. The resulting stone looks exactly like the tree.
Generally only the trucks of petrified trees are found because the leaves and branches are softer so tend to decompose faster than the minerals can accumulate in the cells.
Coloring
Petrified wood can be found in many different colors. What color the stones will be is dependent upon the chemicals in the soil. Petrified wood is nearly all quartz crystals, but quartz has almost no color. It can be combined with other elements to add color to the petrified wood. If you add carbon, the stone is black. If you have copper, it becomes green/blue; if you have manganese it becomes pink/orange. Iron can make it orange, red, or yellow.

Historical of Agarwood
Agarwood or Aquilaria is a dark resinous heartwood that forms in Aquilaria and Gyrinops, trees (large evergreens native to southeast Asia) when they become infected with a type of mold. Prior to infection, the heartwood is relatively light and pale coloured, however as the infection progresses, the tree produces a dark aromatic resin in response to the attack, which results in a very dense, dark, resin embedded heartwood. Agarwood has been valued and treasured for many years for its fragrance, prayer beads,bracelet, medical and religious qualities.
